Hi! Iβm Megan.
Hi! My name is Megan and my passion is helping families achieve their personal goals for feeding their babies.
I have worked as a nurse helping children, babies and families since 2011. In 2016, I had my first son, and I went through my own struggles with latch, worries if he was getting enough milk, pumping, mastitis and plugged ducts. It was the amazing lactation consultant that helped and supported me that sparked my interest in lactation. That interest grew and motivated me to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) so I can help families through this challenging, but beautiful, journey called breastfeeding.
I have achieved my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Public Health Nurse (PHN) from California State University, Fullerton. In addition to my private lactation consultant practice, I am a registered nurse (RN) and worked at CHOC Childrenβs Hospital in Orange County for 14 years. I have gained great experience helping families of babies born prematurely in the NICU and term babies admitted to the hospital due to jaundice, slow weight gain, and many complexities. Achieving my IBCLC is the highest standard for the lactation profession and treating complex breastfeeding issues. I also strive to always continue my education and uphold evidence-based practices that ensure my clients receive the best support available.
